​​International Medical Health Organization (IMHO) Canada is currently seeking dynamic candidates to fill 2 internship positions. These are paid positions supported by the Canada Summer Jobs Program.

Successful candidates will be asked to work from home, and collaborate with other candidates and the Board of Directors via virtual meetings, and other online collaboration tools.

Position Descriptions

Technical Coordinator

The Technical Coordinator will be responsible for adding data and features to our project database, and for updating project pages on our existing website. This role requires superior computer skills for database updates, and collaborative skills to work with board members to plan and edit the required updates.

Communications Coordinator

The Communications Coordinator will be responsible for creating and posting content on social media. This role requires a good standard of written and verbal skills in English, and familiarity with creating social media posters.

Candidate Criteria

  • Between 17 and 30 years of age at the start of employment

  • Is a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident or Refugee as conferred under the Immigration & Refugee Protection Act

  • Available to work 30 hours/week between June 27 and August 26

  • Proficient in English, excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Attention to detail and accuracy

  • Practical knowledge of desktop applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc

  • Familiarity with collaborative tools such as Google Drive, Zoom, Google Meet, Linked In, etc

  • Expertise in creating social media posters and familiarity with social media applications

  • Able to work independently to manage assigned roles and responsibilities

  • Able to work with other volunteers to complete tasks and activities

  • Able to contribute to a positive team environment

  • Passionate about community engagement, global health and/or international development
