EffortsIn order to be successful, it is necessary to have strong partners at the ground level. Even as a small organization, we are very fortunate in having many dedicated individuals and partner organizations working with us. It is grassroots organizations that often make all the difference in the day-to-day living of people in need. And it is organizations like this that help IMHO Canada carry out activities that directly benefit needy people. Education and training of local doctors, nurses, health care workers, and others committed to improving the health and well-being of those in need is crucial to the success of our efforts. They also promote sustainability through local empowerment. As such, IMHO Canada works toward efforts aimed at training and educating these persons. IMHO Canada also provides incentive allowances and other support for those serving rural or remote communities, beyond their required duties. When requested, supplies and equipment are also provided depending on need. Addressing economic independence of a family unit is an important aspect of social well-being of a community at large. IMHO Canada is working to address this critical issue as well, empowering local communities through livelihoods programs, psychosocial support, and education. |
