1. Is IMHO Canada a non-profit organization? Is my donation tax-deductible?
IMHO is a registered not-for-profit organization in Canada.  Its application for charitable status in Canada is currently pending. This means that Canadian businesses donating to IMHO can claim a tax deduction.  Individuals can claim tax deductions only after charitable status has been granted by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).
2. Will I receive a receipt for my donation?
Yes, the IMHO Canada Treasurer issues separate receipts in-person or via first class mail for all one-time donations. For monthly contributions, an annual receipt for cumulative annual donations is sent at the end of each fiscal year.
3. Can I earmark my donation for a certain project?
Yes, of course. While IMHO Canada prefers unconditional donations for maximal flexibility in responding to immediate needs, any donations can be earmarked for a specific project, and the donor’s wish will be respected.
4. Can I donate medical supplies as an in-kind donation?
Yes, IMHO Canada administers several projects that can make use of medical supplies, although it depends on the country, the project, and the circumstances governing the shipment of such supplies. 5. Will IMHO Canada accept a matching gift from my company?
IMHO Canada is happy to accept matching gifts from your company. Please obtain the appropriate form from your Human Resources Department for matching gifts, and mail it with your contribution to IMHO Canada at:

We will then contact you and provide you with information on the full value of your contribution.

6. How do I become a partner in IMHO Canada’s monthly giving program?
Monthly gifts from our provide IMHO Canada with consistent financial support, which enables us to undertake greater commitments in under-served communities. Our partners guarantee us with continuous, predictable funding which enable us to concentrate attention and resources towards our projects on the ground.

There are two ways to become an IMHO Canada Partner:

*Sign up online: Use your credit card to sign up online through our secure online PayPal donation system.

*Direct debit: To pay directly from your checking account, complete the PDF form on our "Monthly Giving" page and mail it to us with a voided check.

7. Can I donate in a currency other than Canadian dollars?
Yes, our online Paypal donation system also accepts currency in US dollars, Euros, Great Britain pounds, Australian dollars, and other currencies from around the world.  Please encourage your friends and family living in other countries to donate.
8. How do I become an active member with IMHO Canada?

9. My child would like to get involved with IMHO Canada. What can he/she do?

IMHO Canada is always looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help with small administrative tasks and other projects that do not require medical knowledge.
10. I would like to volunteer with IMHO Canada overseas. How can I do this?
Currently, IMHO Canada is not sending direct volunteers to work on its active projects.
